PICKLEBALL JOURNEY TIPS!
Effective ONE TWO Punch Combos to Win More Points in Pickleball (Results!)
SCENARIO #1 - Hitting a spin serve out wide, forces your opponent to leave an opening in the middle of the court!
Driving your 3rd shot towards the middle while they’re still running or unsettled at the line can give you an error leading to that signature put away!
SCENARIO #2 - Hitting an aggressive wide dink can cause your opponent to cross step, where their back is facing you!
This is when you or your partner look for the opportunity to speed up through the middle to the opening!
SCENARIO #3 - This is similar to the last scenario, yet you dink to the corner of the opponent in front of you!
When you see your opponent’s paddle face towards you, get ready for an erne!

TIP #1 - Are you unprepared?
Stay light and active! Use many split steps to keep your body moving, yet steady and focused! Move those feet and stay awake!
Keeping your paddle slightly out in front of you, tracking the ball with your paddle, you’re staying mindful of where your paddle is, staying ready for your time to shine!
TIP #2 - The Everything Principal
Expect every ball from your opponent will be a speed up! Expect every ball to come back!
Following this mindset keeps your brain alert and aware of the little things your opponents are doing! Be more prepared than your opponents!
TIP #3 - The Patterns Principle!
Recognizing your opponent’s patterns early in a game can quite literally be a game changer! If you give your opponent a dead dink, and they sped up the last dead dink, expect another speed up!
If they hit their resets high, keep making them reset!

TIP #1 - When your partner is making a 3rd shot, apply presence pressure!
While your partner makes their 3rd shot in the middle of the court, whether a drive or a drop, don’t SPRINT to the kitchen, but get to the line to be there and find windows to follow up a crashing ball that the opponents won’t expect!
Applying presence pressure makes your opponent panic, while trying to hit a perfect ball so that you can’t punish them for an error! Make your presence known!
TIP #2 - Always target the player furthest from the net!
While your opponents are off the line, you have the advantage! Make sure you go to the player that is farthest from the net to keep applying that pressure!
TIP #3 - When the ball is sharp in a corner, SHRINK THE COURT by stepping over the center line!
This comes down to applying presence pressure again, but also a higher percentage of taking advantage of your advantage!
When your opponent is pulled out wide and off balance, shrinking the court by stepping over the line forces your opponent to hit a perfect ball! Apply that pressure!
