UPSET: Ben Losing Early, Dylan Frazier, Jack Sock, Patrick Smith & Jay Devilliers Are Back Together!
The old famous duo, and Collin Johns favorite team - Jay Devilliers & Patrick Smith are back together! They’re known for their fast pace, high energy, and intensity! They have always played well together and maybe after some time they’ll be back in the finals again!
Ben Johns lost to Quang Duong in his first singles match in the new “Progressive Draw” format! If you follow Quang Duong on his socials, you’ll see he trains gruesomely!
Thursday was a super windy day in Palm Springs, California. Not to mention the brand-new Vulcan balls were uncomfortable for everybody at the start. You notice that all weekend, players are hitting out balls more than normal!
Jack Sock, the former tennis #2 doubles player, and #8 singles player came in on his FIRST PPA DEBUT with some FIRE!!! He defeated every opponent in singles up until Federico Staksrud! Some are saying Jack Sock may be the future king of singles?!
Even though Ben lost early, and Jack Sock came out swinging: Dylan Frazier pulled through with a huge win to start the 2024 season in Men’s Singles!

4 “RULES” For Better Decision Making in Pickleball! BIG RESULTS
Becoming a good pickleball player requires making the right decision at the right time.
We’ve come up with 4 rules for decision making that will make it easy for you to remember and apply to your game!
Rule #1 - “GG Rule”
When you’re at the baseline, working your way up to the kitchen: you GO if you hit a GOOD SHOT. Lets discuss what is considered a “good shot”.
A GOOD SHOT is when your opponent has to hit the ball below the net, whether a drop, drive, or even a “Drive Drop”.
Rule #2 - “BB Rule”
This is when you hit a BAD shot, you may want to BACK up! Yet, what is a BAD shot?
A BAD shot is when your opponent is hitting the ball above the level of the net! When your opponent can hit a ball above the level of the net, they can be more aggressive with power & spin!
Rule #3 - “Teeter Totter Rule”
If your opponent is hitting downwards, you want to be down low ready to defend that shot.
On the flip side, if you’re hitting downwards, you want to be protecting up higher as well. Of course, if they’re hitting hard AND high, chances are it will be out.
Rule #4 - “Down the Middle Rule”
“Down the middle solves the riddle”
The middle is always a great option to place your shot, whether it’s a drive, drop, dink, or even speed up! This will cause confusion between opponents, while also leaving you more confident by eliminating difficult angles!

Wear appropriate gear: Invest in quality shoes with proper support and traction, and consider wearing protective equipment like knee pads or wrist guards.
Use proper technique: Learn and practice correct techniques for various shots and movements to avoid strain on your muscles and joints.
Rest and recover: Listen to your body and take breaks when needed, giving yourself time to recover between games and training sessions.
